  • General Population

    Post-rehab:

Returning to an active lifestyle following injury is never easy. Getting in-tune with your body’s movement patterns and working to correct dysfunction is our first priority, and my specialty. The ensuing progress on joint mobility and stability is pain-free movement, which then leads to strength and fortitude, allowing you to feel confidence and freedom in motion once again, or for the first time. Let’s book a time to sit down and talk about your injuries, your successes and failures in overcoming them, and what I can do to help you break through to joyful living.

    Weight-loss:

Are you ready to make lifestyle changes that will give you health, vitality and the self-confidence you deserve? Can you say to yourself that you are worth it? Do you believe in your own power to make and follow through with choices?

If so, let’s arrange a time to sit down and talk about your goals, your personal approach to them and how I can help take your personal investment and turn it into the life-lasting change you are looking for.

In my experience as a trainer and wellness coach, I can honestly say that your success is in your hands and no one else. However, there is an element of knowledge and accountability that can maximize your effectiveness and chances of long-term success. Let me be your guide.

  • Athletic Training

    Runners:
Maybe you are aspiring to experience the joy of running for the first time, or want to qualify for the Boston Marathon ‒ I have the tools and experience to take you to that next level!

The keys to success in running include the setting of realistic goals and the execution of effective, disciplined training. We will sit down to design a training program that will outline the steps to success from start to finish. The program is custom-suited to your fitness level & schedule, and will address weaknesses that we pin-point in our training. Aside from improving technique, you will learn to use pace, intensity, and heart-rate to maximize the efficiency of the training plan. Your time investment will result in measurable improvement.

    Cyclists & Triathletes:
Every cyclist starts by learning to balance the bike, and every triathlete has to get their feet wet at their first event. After that, it’s an ongoing quest for greater distances and better performance.

Wherever you are on this journey, I can work with you to help you achieve your next challenging step. In cycling and triathlon, the approach is three-pronged:

    1. Create a detailed training plan based on your goals and guided by your schedule. Learn to use paces, heart-rate and intensity to work through progressive distances and techniques
    2. Thoroughly assess the body for weaknesses and imbalances that will inhibit efficiency and cause injury. Address these through postural and tri-specific training and soft-tissue release.
    3. Communicate to make sure the training discipline is consistent, and make changes to the program as necessary. Add a flare of variety to the training so that boredom and burnout can be avoided.

    Team Sports:
Is performance on the ice, on the court or in the field your primary focus? Then every moment of training must be sport-specific in order for it to make a difference. Functional strength training will decrease your risk of injury while improving your agility, power and even mental acuity. This can be achieved by addressing the demands imposed by the sport and using an observation of your body's movement patterns to identify and address any gaps and inconsistencies that will affect performance.

Tell me about your sport and training history and allow me to earn your business in creating a more powerful and well-balanced athlete.
