Weather you wake up still feeling tired or have energy lulls throughout your day, your body may be telling you something.
To understand your low energy we need to first realize that fatigue is never a root cause but a symptom of an underlying issue that needs to be addressed.
First we need to consider the following contributing factors:
Sleep, digestion, nutrient deficiencies, hormonal heath, stress levels, underlying infections, toxic environments and allergies.
Here are a few questions that can help you navigate where your fatigue may be arising from:
Rate the following statements from 0-3, 0 meaning never occurring, 1 meaning mild or rarely occurring, 2 for moderate or regularly, and 3 for severe or often occurring.
- High stress life style
- Insomnia or restless sleep
- Drinking more then 2 cups of coffee per day
- Depressed or Irritable
- Craving certain foods
- Bags under eyes
- Brittle fingernails
- Weak hair, or hair loss
- Low sex drive
- Irritable or imbalanced mood
- Skin/ Complexion problems
- Difficulty losing weight
- Constipation/ Diarrhea
- Bloated, gas or indigestion after meals
- Frequent illness or infections
Now total up your scores for each group and correlate with the system that may show an imbalance below: (highest score relates to the more imbalanced systems)
Group 1 = Possible High stress levels/Adrenal Fatigue
Group 2 = Possible Nutrient Deficiencies, possibly deficient in minerals like iron, zinc or magnesium or vitamins such as B12, Biotin and vitamin C.
Group 3 = Possible hormonal Imbalances, thyroid needs attention.
Group 4 = Possible digestive issues or intestinal bacteria
If you are showing 5 points or more in one group you may be showing an imbalance in that system. Although this is just a quick snap shot to show us what our bodies are telling us, this may be a sign that there is an imbalance somewhere.
